Monitoring

SparkPost's revert successfully resolved this issue, and we have seen bounce rates return to normal levels, and no instances of the specific error code as of 9:42 PM ET.

Our engineering teams will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the issue does not recur.

Update

Braze and Sparkpost engineers continue to investigate this issue.

While we have not fully identified the root cause, Sparkpost is reverting a code deployment from this afternoon that we believe could be correlated.

Our next update will come in an hour, or when the revert is complete.

Investigating

Braze Engineers have identified elevated email bounce rates for customers sending email via SparkPost (Bird), starting around 17:35 ET. We are working with SparkPost Engineering who are aware and investigating the issue.

We'll update in 30 minutes or when we have an update from Sparkpost.
